Treating yourself to some new workout duds has been shown to increase athletic performance both mentally and physically. “If something fits and feels great and you look great in it, especially before you reach your fitness goal, you’re much more likely to put it on and go to the gym,” says psychotherapist and personal trainer Jane Baxter. It is recommended to shop for materials that will keep you cool. Tags labeled with polypropylene or merino wool will ensure the garment will be breathable, remove the moisture from the skin, and prevent skin irritation.
