My name is Kayla Davis, the owner of KDAVIS Fitness, a growing online health and fitness platform. Since becoming a personal trainer/coach over 6 years ago, I’ve had the privilege of coaching hundreds of clients all over the world through in-person training, online coaching and bootcamps. Growing up as a competitive gymnast, I learned at a very young age what it meant to be disciplined and driven towards a physical goal. However, it wasn’t until I started working at a gym while studying Kinesiology at University that I really developed a passion for fitness. I experienced first-hand how fitness could positively impact the lives of others so I decided to get my certification and pursue personal training. My mission was clear: I wanted to help others feel strong, confident and capable of achieving their true fitness potential.
Over the years, I’ve helped many different clients achieve their fitness goals. One of the biggest hurdles they have, and one of the most common excuses I hear is “lack of energy”. It’s one of the biggest pain points for people who want to get in shape. The truth is, everyone struggles with low energy levels … even I do! And I have a secret for those times when I think I’m just too tired to hit the gym.
For years, pre-workout has been my go-to supplement when I need energy to get to the gym and train hard to reach my goals. There are so many pre-workout supplements out there, but I stick to C4 because it is tried and true. From the flavours (Cherry Limeade is bomb) to the quality formula, C4 is top of the line. If you’ve been toying with the idea of trying a pre-workout but don’t know if you’re ready to take the full leap, you can always start with a smaller dose than the suggested serving size. When I first started, I took a half a scoop of C4 to see how my body would react. Then over time, I bumped it up to ½ scoop, ¾ and then eventually, a full scoop. Still today, I will only take ½ scoop if I don’t feel I need the extreme energy boost or I have already had a lot of caffeine that day. There is 150 mg of caffeine in one full scoop of C4, so this is something to be aware of if you are hypersensitive to caffeine.
