Researchers at the University of Texas have spent five years compiling and ranking a list of 237 reasons why men and women have sex. Among 1,500 college students asked to list their top five choices based on their sexual experiences, the number one answer was simply, “I was attracted to the person”. “It’s refuted a lot of gender stereotypes … that men only want sex for the physical pleasure and women want love,” says clinical psychology professor and the study’s co-author Cindy Meston. The reasons cited by both sexes were quite similar in this study, but Meston suspects that they would be much different overall among a more mature group.

Yes, I think that all this study proves is that “college” students will have sex based on the #1 thing that MEN look for in women..and that’s attraction or “attractiveness”. College students and sexual experiences I’m sure don’t typically involve a need for “love”.
I would totally agree that the results would be different if you surveyed a group of singles over 25 and not while in college. A lot of time time and resources might have been saved to discover something that might seem very obvious. lol
